‘Dogfight Over China’

In the latest skirmish between Japan and China, 12 Japanese Zeros challenged 30 Chinese fighters in an intense aerial dogfight above Chengtu city in southwest China. Despite being outnumbered, all 12 Zeros made it back home after shooting down 27 of the Chinese fighters.

‘Finland Evacuates Lost Territory’

Finland’s evacuation from their lost territories began today displacing between 450,000 to 470,000 civilians. Many of the civilians actually burned down their homes in an effort to leave as little as possible to the Russians.

‘Bing Crosby Stars With Bob Hope’

The much anticipated comedy movie ‘Road to Singapore’ premiers today. Directed by Victor Schertzinger, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope stars as 2 playboys trying to forget their past romances, that is until they both meet femme fatale, Dorothy Lamour.
